DELTA AGRO LIMITED & PARRNERS DONATED TO GNAD TO FIGHT COVID-19

Delta Agro Limited, leading manufacturers of antiseptic liquids and antibiotic soaps in partnership with the management of Adage Media has on 20th March, 2020 donated products to the National Secretariat of the Ghana National Association of the Deaf (GNAD). The donation form part of the company’s support to the Ghana National Association of the Deaf to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a brief ceremony at the national secretariat, Mr. Fadi Fattal, who led the team explained that the donation was part of the companies’ commitment to join hands with Civil Society Organizations and state institutions to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and ensure that the Deaf community remain safe. He explained that, it is the commitment of the companies to ensure that individuals who are Deaf and hard of hearing are not left out in this trying times hence their decision to support the association.

Among the items presented include boxes of Maram shea butter soap, Maram antiseptic and Oro antiseptic. Other items included Maram aloe vera soap and Maram rose soap.

Receiving the items on behalf of the association, the National President of GNAD, Mr, Matthew Kubachua, expressed the association’s appreciation to Delta Agro Limited and its partners for the kind gestures. The President explained that the association had made significant efforts to ensure that its members are not left out in the COVID-19 education and public awareness raising noting that, despite that, some of the members lack basic detergents that can enable them effectively stay safe. He therefore see the donation as timely. The president expressed hope that the items would be distributed to members in order to improve hygiene among members of the association and their dependents.

The short ceremony was attended by manager of Delta Agro Limited, management of Adage Media, GNAD National President, Mr. Matthew Kubachua, National Vice President, Madam Monica Dowuta, and Greater Accra Regional President of GNAD, Mr. David Mborkor. Other participants include Sign Language Interpreter, Mr. George Nartey Pinto, Staff of GNAD, some members of GNAD and representative from Ghana Federation of Disability Organizations.
