GNAD Leadership in both old and new project districts have received fresher training in Self-Advocacy, organization development and resources mobilization.
The fresher training programme was organized for GNAD members in I, II & Model districts from 22nd – 25th March, 2018, at the Washington View Hotel, Ejisu, Ashanti Region.
The programme, which included learning and sharing sessions aimed at equipping the leaders with best practices in district level advocacy, good leadership skills, organization development and resource mobilization.
Addressing the leaders, Mr. Duorinaah reminded them about their roles as district level leaders in strengthening the capacity of the deaf community. He emphasized the need for leaders to work extra hard in order to strengthen the various districts.
The programme was facilitated by Wisdom Kwadwo Mprah, from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) with support from the Executive Director of GNAD.
The program which forms part of the Danida disability Joint Project brought together a total of 18 leaders representing Pru in the Brong-Ahafo, Sefwi Wiaso in Western Region, Kwahu West in Eastern Region, Ashanti Mampong in Ashanti Region, Saboba, Wa Municipal, Dormaah, and Ejisu participated in the 2 days training.
